The time is approaching for Warren Gatland to select his British and Irish Lions squad for this summer’s tour to New Zealand, and the kiwi has some difficult decisions to make across the field. Opinion: Why I Won’t Support Nottingham Nightmare

Southampton Storm, Manchester Magic, Nottingham Nightmare. Please give me a break.

That’s what it’s going to be. Eight teams with gimmicky names fighting it out in the ECB’s ingenious answer to the success of the IPL and the Big Bash. I do wonder whether these franchises will go down the, somewhat, tasteful route of Australian franchise teams such as the Perth Scorchers or the Sydney Sixers.
